DescriptionRegard locket, oblong locket on short chain connected to shallow v shaped piece encrusted with multi-colored stones connected to chain composed of flat square links. The center of the locket has a red stone inside a circle of pearls inside a starburst. On the reverse of locket there is a border of raised stars around raised starburst in center. The chain fastening is nearly V shaped.
Narrative
Regard locket, named because of the bar from which it is suspended. The stones in the bar are: ruby, emerald, garnet, amethyst, ruby and diamond. The first letter of each stone spells out the word $DQUOTE$regard$DQUOTE$. The locket was brought from Scotland by MacFarlanes. PEIMHF accepted a covenant not to deaccession. Given in memory of donor's father, Henry Havelock MacFarlane, whose grandparents brought it with them from Scotland. Stored in case HF.99.27.10 A
