DescriptionAn unused postcard featuring a colour image of a man in a horse drawn carriage outside of a stone wall with large pillars marking the entrance. Several palm trees can be seen over the wall. Two cannons stand on either side of the entrance and a green lamp post is present on the far right side. There is black text at the top near the center, "Old City Gates, St. Augustine, Florida", and in the bottom left corner "The Oldest City in / The United States". At the top center left of the reverse is printed "The City Gates" followed by a short informative paragraph. Two columns of font are present at the left side, "Florida Souvenir Co., St. Augustine, Florida", and at the center ""Tichnor Quality Views" Reg. U. S. Pat. Off. Made Only By Tichnor Bro., Inc., Boston, Mass." At the top center right is printed "Post Card" with a rectangle in the top right corner with "Place / Stamp / Here / 72643 / Made In U.S.A." at the center. Collections
