The foreground is shaded while a cluster of high, multi-storied buildings to the left are in sunlight. On the reverse of the postcard is printed "Sunset On Mount Rainier" followed by a short paragraph in the top left. In the bottom left is a small logo with a "K" at the center of a diamond. At the bottom center is printed "3446" above which is a column of small font, "Published by J. Boyd Ellis, 515 Olympic Avenue, Arlington, Wash."
