DescriptionPair of Christmas tree lightbulbs in the shape of candles. Also known as Bubble Lights. The cylindrical glass bulb is filled with liquid and sits on top of an oval holder which is blue on the top half and red on the bottom half. The bottom cap has a threaded screw base.


Narrative
Christmas bubble lights were first introduced in 1946 by NOMA Electric Corporation. They were very popular. The candle shaped light provided a low-cost option and imitated the tradition of adding real candles to a Christmas tree. The liquid in the bulb would heat up and create a bubbling effect.
