DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (1.0 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.2 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j that bridge two warp splints. On the sides of the basket is two small handles that are woven into basket side. The warp splints on the lid are wider on the edge (1.0 cm) than in the middle (0.5 cm) and the weft splints alternate between two widths (1.1 cm and 0.8 cm). The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. In the center of the lid is a single wood splint loop. Collections
