DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (5.7 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two different widths (1.0 cm and 2.1 cm) most of the warp splints are the narrower width there is a band around the middle of the basket that are the wider splints. Near the top of the basket there is a wave like pattern of diamond jikiji’j. The weft splints (2.2 cm) on the basket are wider than the warp splints. The warp splints on the lid are two different widths (1.4 cm and 1.6 cm) the narrower are close to the center of the lid. The weft splints alternate between two widths (2.0 cm and 2.2 cm). The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
