Narrative
G. H. Simmons was an early carbonated beverage manufacturer located in Charlottetown, PEI. The first factory was purchased by George Simmonds Sr. in 1855 from Elizabeth Seldon, a producer of ginger beer and lemon syrup located on Euston Street. The "d" was eventually dropped from Simmons and the company was passed down for several generations.

Flavours expanded beyond Ginger Beer and lemon so that by 1911, a newspaper ad promoted a range which included such flavours as sarsaparilla, cream soda and cola champagne. G. H. Simmons produced local beverages under their family name for over 100 years, until 1976.
