DescriptionAn unused postcard with a cartoon drawing of a man wearing a cap with a brim, yellow gloves, a red jacket and red knee boots standing beside an old fashioned car, smoking a cigar. The cartoon is framed in black scrolls forming a rectangle with a heart in each corner. There is a short poem under the cartoon which reads: "Chauffeur / As a chauffeur / You're a loafer, / And you cannot run a car. / You're a grafter, / Fore and after. / As a failure, you're a star." In the bottom left corner is printed "GHT, 1907, By The Rose Company." On the reverse is printed "Post Card" at the top center with a rectangle in the top right corner which has "Place / Postage / Stamp / Here". The center of the postcard is divided by a vertical line with "TRC" at the bottom center. On the left of center is handwritten "Wear me! I forgot / my badge No 18" and "Mr Leith Macleod / Longworth Ave / (illegible)" both are written in black ink. Collections
