DescriptionRectangular passenger car license plate with rounded corners. The back ground is white enamel, on both sides, with numbers and letters embossed in blue on the front. The year of issue is identified with a "1950" along with "2-680 Prince Edward Island" across the bottom and the Island crest embossed at the top left corner. There are four rectangular-shaped holes - two along top, two along bottom - and a circular hole at each corner.
Narrative

This plate is one half of a set issued in 1950 as plates were required on both the front and back of the vehicle. 1950 marked a banner year for vehicle registrations! For the first time in Island history, more than 10,000 passenger cars were registered!
