DescriptionBarrel shaped basket with low shoulder and plain plaited splints. Flat, square base. Tapered mouth is circular, and re-enforced with a wooden rim secured with single binding. Alternate ribs are hemmed at mouth. Circular lid with shallow sides. Splints are arranged spoke fashion and secured at top with double ring of plain plaited, weavers. Sides, and outer circumference of top are also plaited with narrow weavers. Wooden rim is attached with single binding. Loop splint handles at body sides. Ends are re-woven into body.Collections
