DescriptionBlue multi-paneled (6 with three gores) dress. The back four panels have deep cartridge pleats and six small darts. There is a twill tape waistband with hooks and eyes on the waistband opening. The front lining is batiste and the back lining is chintz with 2 sets of tapes sewn to snug "train". The fabric and lining are "sewn as one/ flatlined" with the raw edges overcast by hand. The lining has a pleated flounce including flat floral cotton lace. The day/dinner bodice has a "V" neck, a split pointed peplum, 3/4 length leg of mutton sleeves with heavy gather lace, lace shawl collar meeting in a ecru bow and silver metallic braid at the cuffs, the waist and bottom edge of the peplum. There are pieces of boning on all of the seams/darts of the bodice that are encased in narrow strips of ecru satin. The front closure has 14 pairs of alternating hooks and eyes. The neckline has a casing with ribbon and a bow at back of the neck. The evening bodice has short split sleeves, a v-neck with deep points at the front and back, princess seams, a center back laced opening with hand stitched eyelet holes lace at the neckline, pieces of boning on all of the seams. and in lined in a pinstripe satin.
