Narrative
This well-preserved fossilized trackway or reverse ichnite was discovered in April 2013 below the coastal cliffs, near Belfast in south-eastern PEI. The tracks were analyzed and identified by Dr. John Calder as a series of footprints from a vertebrate (tetrapod) and are estimated to be 290 million years old, during the Permian Period.
