DescriptionRectangular plastic CD case. The case contains a silver CD and a small booklet. The outside of the booklet is blue and the inside is white. The front of the booklet has black, white and yellow writing which reads "jiveKings / Spoon For A Knife" to the left of a yellow spoon and red knife. The back of the booklet has white text and lists the band members and production credits. Inside the booklet there is black text as well as signatures in blue ink of several of the members. The CD has blue and black text on the front with the band's name, album title, and track list. The back of the case is blue with a blue toned image and white text and a black and white photograph on the right side.

Narrative
The Jive Kings were a PEI Jazz band in the late 1990s and early 2000s consisting of Michael Ross, Mark Parsons, Jonathan MacInnis, Barrie Sorensen, Bob Nicholson, Perry Williams, Deryl Gallant, and Alan Dowling. In 1999 the Jive Kings released their album “Spoon for a Knife” for which they received the East Coast Music Award for Best Jazz Group of the Year in 2000. 

The donor of this object recalls listening to this CD repeatedly as a child during the winter of 2000, to the point that their parents threatened to throw the CD outside. A compromise was made and the CD was only allowed to be played in the donor's bedroom.
