DescriptionA: Hand made plaster sculpture, depicting interpreted impression of a Dimetrodon. The body is green with black stripes, an orange spine sail and a long tail. The underside is beige with some black stripes and other darkened areas, The body has a rough almost jagged texture. The mouth has two rows of white teeth at the front. It also has two yellow and black glass eyes. The spine sail is scaly with many small points on the outside of the sail. The sculpture also has four green and black legs. The head has two nostrils and the mouth is pink.
B: A small green and white sculpture, depicting impression of portion of upper jaw. Representation based on plaster cast taken from an upper jaw bone of a Dimetrodon Borealis, found on PEI in 1845.
Narrative
Mixed media sculpture made for an exhibit at the Eptek Art & Culture Center. The piece is called "That Missing Link". The sculpture was based off of pictures of a Dimetrodon skeleton and drawings of the animal.
