DescriptionWhite limited edition fundraising t-shirt featuring PEI's Chief Health Officer, Dr. Heather Morrison. Front of t-shirt has an image showing Dr. Morrison in blue scrubs and a white lab coat with her hands on her hips - striking a classic superhero pose. The top of her scrubs features the black Caduceus, a symbol often associated with medicine, surrounded by a white triangle. Arched black text reads, "What Would Doctor Morrison Do?". Back of t-shirt features Nimrod's orange logo. Narrative
This limited edition fundraising t-shirt was created and produced by two local companies: Nimrods, a local restaurant, and printed by Stay Golden Custom, a local printing business. Ten dollars from every purchased shirt was donated to the United Way of PEI. This was one of several fundraising t-shirts created during this time.
It is interesting to note that prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, probably relatively few Islanders would have even been able to name the Chief Health Officer. Since March 2020, Dr. Morrison's name became commonplace as she led the province, alongside Premier Dennis King, through regular health updates. She also established a signature sign off for the public health briefings - "Be Patient and Be Kind". This became PEI's defacto motto for dealing with the COVID pandemic and each other. Dr. Morrison's pose is reminiscent of Superman's typical pose with her fists on her hips and her lab coat blowing in the wind.
