DescriptionRectangular marble topped walnut washstand. The polished marble top is white with grey veining and has a beveled edges. The back splash has been replaced. The washstand base is veneered in brown wood possibly walnut and has lower storage area behind two recessed paneled hinged doors with a single wooden pull on the right door. The door panels contain carved geometric and leaf design. There are two faux recessed drawer fronts that are decorated with a dentil carved pattern and have brass ring pulls that are mounted to square plates. The recessed panels on the sides are plain. The bottom of the washstand base extends beyond the sides and has four square feet that lift the washstand so it sits slightly above the floor. Possibly attributed to John Newson. Collections
