DescriptionTable lamp made of a shell casing, with a wood base. Around the shell is a copper colored stripe. The lamp has two light sockets that face downward. There is also a pull cord for each of the bulbs. Narrative
It was a very common for soldiers to collect fragments of shells and other items from the battlefield. Some pieces were turned into examples of Trench Art, household items such as lamps or just kept as a souvenir when the soldiers returned home.?
