DescriptionA set of naval dress epaulets. Oval shoulder cap with rectangular extension projecting toward the collar bone. The front of the epaulet is covered with gold ribbed fabric and is edged with gold corded piping including a triple row of piping around the oval. The center length in the triple row is wider than the outer two rows. The front is decorated with an anchor that is worked in silver cord and a silver crown at the lower end of the rectangular extension. At the top of the epaulet is a small gold button with the naval insignia. Hanging from the shoulder cap edges are spirals of gold wire with a shorter, secondary row placed behind first, adds fullness. The back of the epaulet is padded and covered with blue silk at the shoulder cap with the remainder is lined with black leather with gold lettering. A hinged brass clip extends the length of rectangular extension.
