This piece is one of the original furnishings from Beaconsfield House and used by Penelope Cundall (1836-1915). The Cundall siblings, Henry, Penelope, and Millicent, moved into the Beaconsfield House in 1883 after the original Peake owners suffered financially from the decline of the local shipbuilding industry.
