DescriptionHardwood secretary with burled veneer. The upper half is a bookcase with 2 doors of 17 panes each. The book shelf has 6 shelves with guides of sidewalls to allow the upper 4 shelves to be adjusted. There is concealed sliding catches that allow the left door to be fastened and a key in right door that locks both. There is a desk section on the lower half that pulls out like a drawer with a writing surface that folds down and reveals 5 compartments in addition to one long drawer and 6 small drawers. The lower left drawer has an inkwell compartment and a removable divider. The cupboard section under the desk has 2 shelves, with the same height adjustment guides as the bookcase. There are turned columns at front corners that end in an ankle with fluting and double bun feet with the lower part carved in a leaf design. The back feet are plain.Collections
