DescriptionSplint woven basket wit open handgrips. The basket has a flat, square base and an oval mouth. Plain plaiting used throughout with additional overlain weavers on the base add strength. Split branch rim is faced with splint and secured with double wrapped border. The ribs are hemmed alternately on interior and exterior. The rectangular openings under the rim serve as hand grips.
