DescriptionA rectangular postcard with a picture of a soldier wearing a khaki uniform, sleeping with arm leaning on a drum with his hat lying on the ground. In the top right corner is an image of an elderly woman in a pink striped blouse and white apron, with grey hair sitting in a chair surrounded by haze. Beneath the image is printed "Around The Old Camp Fire (4)." followed by a poem. The reverse has "Post Card" printed in a art nouveau style banner at the top center with a space reserved for a postage stamp in the top right corner. Along the left side is printed "Holmfirth / Bamforth & Co., Ltd, Publishers (England) and New York, Series No. 4822/1 / Printed in England". A handwritten message is present on the left side which says: "Dear Francis / Just a line / Having a fine time / it is ? ? / here/ I suppose you / have all the news / before now with best / regards / JM". A handwritten address is written on the right side which sayd "Miss Adel McLeod / Longworth Avenue / Charlottetown PEI / Canada". Collections
