The Festival of the Fathers was an annual celebration held in Charlottetown, PEI, on Labour Day long weekend to celebrate the city being the birthplace of Confederation. The festivities included re-enactments of the Charlottetown Conference in 1864, including the Fathers’ arriving at the Peake’s Wharf followed by a promenade up Great George Street to Province House. The festival was cancelled in 2006.
