DescriptionCarved wooden duck on a wooden stand. The base is made of two crossed pieces of wood which have a thinner piece of wood making the same shape. The duck is attached to the base by two narrow dowels glued into the base and the duck’s body. The head of the duck was made as a separate piece that was then attached to the body. The back of the duck appears to have been charred to produce a darker color for the wings. A groove has been carved into the back to show the separation of the wings. Collections
