The Canadian National Railway (CNR) was incorporated in 1919 as a result of the Intercolonial, Canadian Northern (which included the Prince Edward Island Railway), National Transcontinental and Grand Trunk Pacific railways coming together under a consolidated government railway system. The CNR logo was updated to “CN” in 1960 by Canadian graphic designer, Allan Fleming. The logo features a single flowing line to symbolize the movement of people, material, and communication from one point to another.
