DescriptionA metal vaporizer & inhaler made up of four components. The base (.a) is cylindrical with a wide foot and flat bottom. The walls feature decorative cutouts with a wide window through which is the glass burner (.b). On the left side of the window is embossed “Dr. Coulters Vaporizer & Inhaler” with “Can. Patent Oct 10-1890 GB “ May 1 91 U.S. “ June 9 “ France “ June 9 “ “. Along the top edge is a series of heart shaped cutouts located between two raised ridges. On the left side is a small semicircular piece of metal (.c) with two horizontal prongs at the base which slides behind a short (4.5cm) shaft attached to the top section of the base with two small metal rivets. The top shoulder lifts out of the base (.d) and narrows in a series of ridges. The base is blackened from the burner which sits directly below in the base. The final section fits onto neck with a narrow cap (.e) which extends upwards through a narrow, hollow, straw-like tube to a bulbous mid-section, followed by an additional stretch of metal tube and ending with a flared bell-shaped tip.
