DescriptionA rectangular metal toolbox painted dark blue. The lid is shallow and hinged on the back side with hardware for a clasp to attach at the front center. A crescent shaped handle is present at the center of the lid and is bolted in place by two plates on either end. A logo depicting two white, feathered wings on either side of gold branches, forming a circle with a crown at the top and "RCAF" at the center. Stenciled beneath in white is "C-3544. F/L-W-R-BRENNAN". The front of the box has a grouping of seven small holes at the top right, three are on the side of the lid and four are on the base. The left and right side both have two rivets at the top corners. The interior has a tray which hinges up and out as the lid is lifted. The shelf is divided into four sections. Narrative
William (Bill) Brennan served as Commanding Officer of the Tignish Radar Station during the Second World War. The Radar Station opened in 1943 in hopes of spotting possible enemy activity in nearby waters. Brennan had previously worked for the PEI Telephone Company and was able to install and service hand cranked phones throughout the Radar Station.
