DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (6.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (2.0 cm) are wider than the weft splints (1.5 cm). Around the center of the basket is narrower wood splints (0.2 cm). The warp splint on the lid widen from the center out to the edge. The sides of the lid have two wider splints. The side of the lid and around the bottom of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j that cross two rows of splints. The top of the basket also has two rows of jikiji’j that form a circle around the edge and about halfway between the center of the lid and the edge. The center is several rows of sweetgrass. The rim of the basket is double(cross)wrapped wood splints while the lid rim is single wrapped sweet grass. The warp splints on the basket and lid are dyed either green or pink. Collections
