DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The lid is circular as well (2.5 cm). The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (0.3 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.5 cm). Around the middle of the basket is two rows of wider splints (1.4 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. There is also one row of the wider splints around the top. Most of the warp splint on the lid (0.2 cm) are also narrower than the weft splints. The narrow splints are only located around the edge and near the center. On the edge of the lid has a single row of a wider splint (1.1 cm). In the center of the is a small arched handle. The narrower splints on the basket are dyed purple while the wider are dyed pink. On the lid the wider splint is dyed purple, the narrow splints at the edge are dyed pink and the narrow splints at the center are dyed purple. A lot of the narrow splint and some of the wider splints are painted red. The rim on the basket is single wrapped wood splint, the wrap is dyed purple. The rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
