DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (5.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket and lid (0.3 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.9 cm). Around the top of the basket is a is a single wider warp splint (2.0 cm). There are also two wider splints at the bottom of the basket and around the side of the lid. Between the pair of wider splints on the basket and lid is a row of diamond jikiji’j. In the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass and a small ring. Most of the narrower splints are dyed blue while the wider splints are dyed pink. The rim of the basket is single wrapped splints while the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
