DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket and lid are twisted sweet grass. In several spots on the lid and the basket are pairs of wood splints (0.4 cm) that are narrower than the weft splints (1.3 cm). Around the top of the basket is a is a single wider warp splint (1.5 cm). In the center of the lid is several rows of untwisted sweet grass. The wood splints are dyed orange while the sweet grass is undyed. The rim of the basket is single wrapped splints while the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
