DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp strands on the basket and lid are very tightly twisted paper. Near the edge of the lid is three wood splints (0.4 cm) these alternate with groups of three twists. There are also three narrow wood splints on the sides of the basket that alternate with groups of four twists. Around the top edge of the basket is a wider wood splint (1.3 cm). The rim of the basket is single wrapped splints while the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. The wood warp splints are dyed green and the weft splints are dyed green, blue, purple and yellow in bunches of four. Collections
