DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming circular opening. The lid is circular (2.5 cm high). The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the lid (0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.2 cm). Most of the warp splints on the basket (1.3 cm) are wider than the weft splints. On the edge and side of the lid and around the bottom of the basket there are several rows of tightly twisted paper. In the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. Above the rows of twisted paper on the basket is three rows of narrow splints. The rim of the basket is single wrapped wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. In the center of the lid is a handle of braided paper twists. Some of the warp splints are dyed green and other are dyed orange.Collections
