DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (1.5 cm) are wider than the weft splints (1.3 cm). Around the middle of the basket is two rows of a narrower splints (0.1 cm). Around the bottom of the basket between two rows is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The lid is mostly made of the narrower splints. Around the sides of the basket is with rows of wider splints, between which is a row of jikiji’j. Around the middle of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. The rim of the basket is single wrapped sweet grass while the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. The warp splints on the lid and the basket are dyed pink. Collections
