DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The lid is circular as well (6.0 cm). The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (1.7 cm) are wider than the weft splints (1.5 cm). Around the middle of the basket is three rows of narrower warps splints (0.2 cm). Around the bottom of the basket between two rows of wider warp splints is a row of diamond jikiji’j. Most of the warp splint on the lid (0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.9 cm). Around the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. ¾ of the distance from the center to the edge of the lid is two rows of slightly wider warps splints (0.8 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. On the sides of the lid is two rows of wider warp splint (1.8 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The wider splints on the basket are dyed pink as is the wrap on the rim. Most of the narrowest splints and the widest splints on the lid are dyed pink. The mid-width warp splints on the lid are dyed green. The rim of the basket is single wrapped wood splint and the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. In the center of the lid is a wood splint bent into a bow shape. Collections
