DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (5.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (1.5 cm) are the same width as the weft splints (1.5 cm). Around the bottom of the basket between two rows is a row of jikiji’j above and below which are narrower warp splints (0.3 cm). Most of the warp splints (0.2 cm) on the lid are narrower than the weft splints. Around the edge of the lid is two rows of wider warp splint (1.5 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j the sides of the lid are also the wider splints. Near the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. The weft splints on the lid widen toward the edge. Most of the narrower splints on the basket are dyed green as are some of the narrow splints on the lid. The rim of the basket and the lid are single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
