DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints on the basket (0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.2 cm). Around the middle of the basket is two rows of wider splints (1.5 cm) between white is a row of diamond jikiji’j. On either side of the wider rows are three rows of sweet grass. Around the top is a middle width warp splint (1.2 cm). Most of the warp splint on the lid (0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft which widens toward the edge. Around the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. About ¾ of the way between the center and the edge is two rows of wider warp splints (0.8 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. In the center of the lid is a small decoratively wrapped ring. All of the warp splints are dyed pink. The rim of the basket is single wrapped wood splint while the rim is single wrapped sweet grass.
