DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (6.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splint on the lid are very narrow (0.2 cm). The top of the lid has two concentric rings of wider splints (1.2 cm) that are decorated with jikiji’j. On the side of the basket is two additional wider splints between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The basket is mostly made of a wider splint (1.4 mc) with three rows of a narrow splint (0.3 cm) ¾ of the way from the top. Around the bottom of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j that is situated between two warp rows, there is also a row of jikiji’j around the middle of the basket. The rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass, the rim of the basket is single wrapped wood splints. The wider warp splints and the weft splints are dyed green and the narrower splints are dyed pink. Collections
