DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp strands on the lid are plastic wrapped twine. The lid has concentric rings of wood splints (0.4 cm) on the top. The side of the basket has two rows of wider wood splints (1.3 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. In the center of the lid is a loop of plastic wrapped twine. Most of the warp splints on the lid are (1.1 cm). Around the middle of the basket is two rows of a narrower warp splint (0.3 cm) that are separated with a wider splint. Around the bottom of the basket is a row diamond jikiji’j that is between two rows of the wider splints. The rim of the basket is single wrapped splints while the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. The warp splints on the lid are dyed pink and the weft splint alternate between being dyed pink and yellow. Most of the warp splints on the basket are dyed pink, the splints around the middle of the basket are dyed yellow. The weft splints alternate between being dyed pink and yellow. Collections
