DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.0 cm high). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket and lid are vary in width from 0.3 cm to 1.6 cm. The narrowest being close to the center of the lid and the widest being on the side of the lid and at the bottom of the basket where a row of diamond jikiji’j is positioned between the rows. Also acting as warp strands is several rows of twisted plastic wrapped twine. In the very center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. The weft splints are dyed green and the warp splint alternate between being dyed and undyed. The rim of the basket is single wrapped splints while the rim on the lid is single wrapped sweet grass.
