DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are a variety of widths (0.9 cm, 1.9 cm and 0.5 cm) most of which are narrower than the weft splints (1.3 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The weft splints on the lid alternate between two widths (1.7 cm and 0.4 cm), the warp splints are also two different widths (0.7 cm and 0.4 cm). In the center of the lid is several loops in a bow shape. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped green dyed sweet grass. Collections
