DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are mostly one width (0.7 cm) with some wider splints (1.5 cm) near the top. The weft splints (1.5 cm) are all one width. At the top edge of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j that bridge two of the wider warp splints. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint. The warp splints on the lid are two different widths (0.9 cm and 0.4 cm) the wider are around the edge and the narrower are around the center, there is several rows of sweetgrass. The weft splints alternate between two widths (1.4 cm and 0.4 cm). The rim of the lid is single wrapped sweetgrass and there is a single loop of wood splint in the center of the lid. Collections
