DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two widths (1.0 cm and 0.7 cm) most of the splints are the narrower width. Near the top of the basket is two splints of the wider width that is bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The weft splints on the basket (2.1 cm) are wider than the warp splints and narrow toward the top. The warp splints on the lid (0.8 cm) and the weft splints alternate between two widths (1.4 cm and 0.4 cm). The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint and in the center of the lid is a single wood splint loop. Collections
