DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two widths (1.7 cm and 0.8 cm) with the wider around the bottom and in a narrow band around the top that is bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The weft splints are all one width (1.8 cm) that is wider the warp splints. The warp splints are two widths (1.5 cm and 0.8 cm) most of the splints are the narrower width with a single band of the wider around the top. The weft splints alternate between two widths (1.6 cm and 0.7 cm). The rim of the basket is single bound wood splints and the rim of the basket is double bound wood splints. Collections
