DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two different widths (0.5 cm and 1.1 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.5 cm). Most of the warp splints are the narrower splints with a single wider warp splint at the bottom. The warp splints on the lid are also two different widths (0.8 cm and 0.5 cm) and the weft splints alternate between two widths (1.5 cm and 0.6 cm) The narrower warp splints are on the top of the lid and the wider are on the sides. The top of the lid is decorated with a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
