DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two widths (0.7 cm and 1.3 cm), the wider splints are near the top and are joined by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splints on the basket are all one width (1.1 cm). The warp splint on the lid are two width (1.0 cm and 0.5 cm) with the narrower splints near the center of the lid. The weft splints alternate between two widths (1.0 cm and 0.5 cm). The lid is also decorated with a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is double bound wood splints. Collections
