DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two different widths (1.1 cm and 2.3 cm) with two of the wider splints around the middle and two around the bottom. The warp splints are all one width (2.1 cm). Around the middle of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splint are two different widths (0.9 cm and 0.7 cm) most of the splints are the wider width. The weft splints are all one width (1.1 cm). Near the edge of the lid there is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
