DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two widths (0.7 cm and 1.8 cm) which are narrower than the weft splints (1.9 cm). The narrower splints are around the bottom and the wider are around the top with a row of diamond jikiji’j at the top and at the middle. The warp splints on the lid are also two different widths (0.6 cm and 0.2 cm) with the narrower splints near the middle of the lid. The weft splints on the lid alternate between two widths (2.2 cm and 0.6 cm). The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim on the lid is single bound sweet grass. Collections
