DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The sides flare to form a larger circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket alternate between two widths (1.3 cm and 2.6 cm) while the weft splints are all one width (2.0 cm) around the bottom there are three rows that are only the narrower width. The warp splints on the lid are mostly one width (0.8 cm) with a single wider splint (2.0 cm) with a row of jikiji’j in it near the center of the lid. The weft splints alternate between two widths (1.8 cm and 0.6 cm). The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
