DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (1.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.3 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splints on the lid are two different widths (0.7 cm and 0.3 cm) which are grouped in bands around the lid and have two rows of diamond jikiji’j around the edge. The weft splints alternate between two widths (1.5 cm and 0.6 cm) The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single bound sweetgrass. Collections
